Hello, welcome…

I am Dr Louisa Wilkings, a Transformation and ADHD specialist Life Coach. I am also a GP, wife and mother. I work with people who are looking to transform new insights into action, leading to meaningful and sustainable growth and change. I offer general Life Coaching as well as pursuing a specialist interest in Neurodiversity with ADHD Life Coaching. Have you recently been given or suspect a Neurodiversity diagnosis or perhaps know or care for someone who has?

I can offer…

  • Certification in Transformational Coaching, rooted in positive psychology and real human connection
  • Specialist Neurodiversity training with the British Association for Neurodiversity
  • A calm and open space to reflect, explore and be heard – free of judgement, full of new insights
  • With seventeen years as a doctor and twelve as a GP, I’ve had the privilege of being entrusted with people’s most personal concerns. This journey has given me deep insight into the complex factors that shape where someone finds themselves – especially at the point where they’re considering coaching
  • A wealth of experience with Neurodivergence in General Practice
  • I have worked across diverse settings, from NHS surgery Partner with clinical and business responsibilities, to urgent medical care in the community, to medical consultations for private corporate clients, giving me a well-rounded perspective of different work environments
  • As a wife, mother to two boys, and owner of an energetic spaniel, I understand the pace, pressures, and joys of a full family life — and bring that real-world understanding into a coaching space that’s grounded, empathetic, and practical

Testimonials.

‘Dr Louisa was a kind and gentle coach who helped me understand how I can focus in on goals and plan steps to attain them. These are skills I can now transfer to new situations too. I really enjoyed the sessions and felt empowered afterwards. Thank you Dr Louisa!’ – Aishling, Doctor (GP)

‘Louisa was very easy to talk to. It felt calm and not rushed and Louisa helped me realise there was a different way to approach things, starting with some small steps which I have already put into action. It felt good to have that time to really consider things and prioritise changes. I have already made some of those changes and am feeling positive about my next steps too. Thank you Louisa.’ – Andrew, Dentist

‘I would recommend everyone tries this! I found my sessions with Louisa left me feeling reflective, positive and empowered to make life shaping decisions. Louisa is insightful, easy to talk to, and really listened to and understood the meaning behind my own words- and enabled me to hear it too! Thank you Louisa.’ – Clare, Physiotherapist

1 to 1 Coaching with me.

Space to think. Space to discover. Space to change.

You don’t have to arrive at coaching with everything figured out. In fact, you don’t even have to know exactly what you need.

Sometimes you simply know that something isn’t quite right. Perhaps you feel stuck, overwhelmed or at a crossroads. Perhaps you know you want something to change, but you can’t quite see what that change needs to be.

Coaching gives you the space to stop, breath and think. Not just think harder, but think differently.

My coaching is grounded in positive psychology, person-centred and solution focused approaches. I bring curiosity, careful listening and thoughtful questions, alongside coaching tools and models when they will genuinely help. And sometimes, we don’t use a tool at all. Sometimes the more valuable thing we can do is allow your thoughts to wander…

The power of wandering thought…

Not every useful thought arrives in a neat, logical sequence. There is something powerful about having an hour where you can say what is on your mind without needing to edit it, organise it or make it make sense.

One thought can lead to another. Something you say can spark a memory, an idea or a different perspective. A question can open up something you hadn’t considered before. I call this free wandering thought – creating enough space for your mind to explore, while I listen carefully for themes, possibilities and insights that might otherwise get lost in the noise of everyday life. Sometimes that is where the breakthrough is.

And sometimes, a framework helps

There are moments when a useful question, coaching model or practical tool can help you see something more clearly. To:

  • understand what is really important to you
  • recognise your values and strengths
  • explore a different perspective
  • identify what is getting in the way
  • imagine what you would like instead
  • turn an insight into meaningful change

But the tools are never the point. You are.

There is no rigid formula or prescribed journey. I draw on different approaches depending on what feels most useful to you, in that moment.

What actually happens in a coaching session?

A coaching session is a conversation with purpose – but it isn’t a script.

We might begin with something that has been occupying your mind. From there, we follow the thread. We will explore where you are now, what you would like to be different and what matters most to you. I may ask questions that make you pause. I may reflect something back to you that you hadn’t noticed yourself. I may introduce a tool or model. Or I may simple give you the space to keep talking until something becomes clearer.

Towards the end, we bring the thinking together.

What have you discovered? What feels different? What matters now? And what, if anything, do you want to do next?

You don’t need to leave with a ten-point action plan. Sometimes your biggest takeaway is clarity. Sometimes it is a new perspective. Sometimes it is simply knowing what your next small step needs to be.

What can you get from one coaching session?

One hour. One focus. A chance to shift something.

A single coaching session can be surprisingly powerful.

A programme of 3 – 6 coaching sessions

Space to explore. Opportunity to change.

A programme of sessions gives you more than a one-off conversation.

They give you opportunity to explore something, take your thinking into your life, notice what happens and come back to it.

There is no ‘right’ way to be coached

You don’t need to perform. You don’t need to have the right answers. You don’t need to arrive with a perfectly formed goal.

You are simply pausing and exploring.

I’ll bring the coaching expertise, the questions, the frameworks and the space.

You bring you. And together, we see what becomes possible.

Clarity. Confidence. Change.

Not because I tell you what to do. Because you discover what is right for you.
